Two people recording a podcast on a rooftop terrace at golden hour
1st Episode Spaces

Record somewhere that looks like your show.

A rooftop, a poolside patio, a garden, a beachfront deck, a basement, a boardroom or a fully kitted studio room. Book any of them by the hour — or list a space you already have, personal or commercial, and earn every time someone shoots in it.

What a space can be

Some spaces are ready-built studios, some are furnished rooms with a little gear, and some are pure scenery you bring your own kit to. Every listing says which — plus power, Wi-Fi, seating and parking — before you book.

A location in every neighbourhood.

Great shows stall on logistics — nowhere good to sit down with a guest. 1st Episode Spaces turns rooftops, patios, gardens, offices and rooms that already exist into a network of bookable locations, so the hardest part of your next episode is picking the topic.

Questions, answered

What counts as a podcast space?

Almost anything you can sit down and shoot in: a rooftop, a pool deck, a garden, a beachfront patio, a balcony, a basement, a loft, a garage, a spare office, a boardroom, a warehouse corner or a fully built-out studio room. Personal property or commercial — if it looks good on camera and isn't drowned in noise, it can be listed.

Do I need podcast equipment to list a space?

No. Every listing states its setup: ready-built (mics, cameras, lighting and treatment are there), partly equipped (some gear provided), or bring your own gear (the space and the scenery only). Plenty of shows travel with their own kit and are only paying for the location.

What about outdoor spaces, weather and noise?

Outdoor listings say what shade, cover and power are available, and hosts set their own weather policy. Bookers can see it before they confirm, and if a session is rained out you and the host can reschedule without losing the credits.

Is power and Wi-Fi included?

It's listed per space. Outlets, Wi-Fi, parking, restrooms and seating all appear on the listing, so you know what you're walking into before you book.

How do I pay for a booking?

In credits — the same balance you use for editing, shorts and captions. The total is your hours times the room's hourly rate. If your balance is short, you can top up at checkout.

When are my credits actually spent?

They're held when you request the booking and only transfer to the host after your session ends. If the host declines, the hold is released straight back to you.

What's the cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 48 hours before the session for a full refund, or inside 48 hours for half. Inside 12 hours the booking is non-refundable and the host is paid.

When do I get the address?

As soon as the host approves. Until then listings show the neighbourhood and city only, plus host contact details and a calendar invite once you're confirmed.

How do hosts get paid?

Credits land in your host balance after each completed session, minus the platform commission. Request a cash-out any time you're over the minimum and we convert to USD.

Book a space, or rent yours out.

Both sides run on credits, and both start in about a minute.
